On February 9, 1996, the Regional Office of the Board of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh, was established in Ramnagar (Nainital) for the Uttarakhand region by the Government Order No. 4460/15 - 7 - 1(231)/1995, for the first time in the year 1999. Examinations were conducted for Garhwal and Kumaon mandals, even after the formation of Uttaranchal state on November 9, 2000, in the year 2001, council examinations for Kumaon and Garhwal manuals were conducted by the then regional office of Secondary Education Council, Uttar Pradesh, Ramnagar, in the state of Uttarakhand Establishment of Uttaranchal Education and Examination Council by number 400 - 2 (260) M.S.V./2001 dated 22nd September 2001 In the year 2002, for the first time, the examinations were conducted by the Council in collaboration with the Board of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh. On April 22, 2006, the Uttaranchal School Education Act 2006 (Act No. 8 of 2006) was promulgated and the Uttaranchal School Education Council was established. After this, the Uttarakhand School Education Council was formed by mandate number 201/ XXIV- 5/2008, Dehradun, dated December 11, 2008.
